The Streets of San Francisco
Waking-up the Marina
From Jerry Cullen,
John Dennis and I hit the streets of the Marina today and the contrast from two or three months ago is amazing. Almost everyone we spoke with knew about Ron Paul and for the most part was interested to positive. The amazing revelation to me is that Democrats and Independents are even more inclined to view Ron Paul positively than are some Republicans.
I have decided that my old play book of focusing on Republicans may not be valid with Ron Paul. His appeal crosses party lines and may be even more appealing to Independents and Democrats.
If you haven’t experienced the pleasure of speaking about Ron Paul with your neighbors you are missing a truly rewarding effort. Most people are positive and appreciative of your taking the time and making the effort to make this Nation better.
I am convinced that WE can win this primary on Feb. 5th if we contact our neighbors and tell them about this truly wonderful man.
Think about the stats. Ron is approaching 10% in the National polls that are historically very poor indicators of success in Presidential primaries. The reason that National polling stats are so inaccurate is that they do not measure intensity of support. By that I mean the % of RP supporters that will actually vote in the primary vs. other candidate supporters. Typically turnout in primaries run at less than 40%. Because RP supporters are dedicated, their turnout will be 100%. (I don’t believe there is a possibility that anyone reading this will not turn out and vote for Ron Paul.) Other candidates may get 20% of the polled vote but only 40% of their voters will turn out. Simple, 40% of 20% = 8% for Benito. 100% of 10% for Ron Baby = 10%. AND that is conservative.
I wish I could put words to the emotions that I feel about supporting Ron Paul. He truly represents the future of this Nation, for you, for me and for my grand children and my great grandchildren. Will we ever have another opportunity to redirect the course of this Country?
All it takes is to follow through with your beliefs by waking up your neighbors. It is a truly rewarding experience. Please help these tired old knees to get the job done.
